My FUN Day at YOSEMITE with Meredith

So today was SO MUCH FUN!! My new best friend (as we like to joke) Meredith spent her day off taking me to Yosemite! I had never been before and was happy to go with a seasoned pro. The drive up and back was less than desirable...major windy roads and they seemed to go on forever, needless to say I was a tad car sick when we got there but that wore off quickly. M and I were both starving when we got there so we had lunch at the hoity toity hotel up there and had the most amazing table in the whole place! (I asked before we walked in if our attire would be acceptable as it was kinda fancy but they assured us for lunch, it was fine). We had a yummy lunch and then stopped by one of the shops (hey, shopping is limited around these parts, gotta get it in where I can!) -truth is, I was freezing and needed some fleece so, in true mountain style I got a north face jacket -who hoo! Then we went about our sightseeing/photo taking day. Meredith loves to have her picture taken which was great for me, I got to practice with my new camera and now have about 200 pictures of cute little Meredith. :) It was a great day, I had a blast with my new friend and am thankful for such a neat experience. Thanks Meredith!!

I thought this little tripod was such a great invention, it can wrap around trees, etc for those hard-to-get shots!

Of course I would only like one of the pictures of me that you'd choose! Typical. It was certainly a great day though and I was glad to put you through the motion sicknes... I mean, I was glad to be your best friend for the day!

Never been to Yosemite? You will definitely have plenty of opportunities. May-June is when the waterfalls are normally at peak!
