Lauren & Her Seat Belt

This incident was definitely a highlight of our road trip and worthy of its very own post. Dearest Lauren was taking a nap in the back seat and was uncomfortable so she wrapped the waist part of her seat belt around her legs and then, when she sat up, put her legs thru the seat belt rather than pulling them back out. The seat belt quickly went into "lock mode" and WOULD NOT RELEASE!! Kelly and I tried to push Lauren out of the seat belt on the side of the road in no man's land Montana, but, to no avail. Kelly called the Honda dealer and they told her the closest dealership was in Bozeman (approximately an hour and a half away)! Lauren was a rock star and agreed to stay put rather than having Kelly cut her out w/ a swiss army knife (which, had Kelly or I been in this situation would have insisted we be cut out!). So I drove (mom, avert your eyes) like a crazy woman to get Lauren to the dealership as fast as I could! Once we got there Gary promptly set her free!! Gary told us this was the first time he'd ever had to release a seat belt while someone was in it! Hooray for firsts! Thanks Gary and the Bozeman, MT Honda Dealership! Lauren is eternally grateful. :)
