End of February Photo

Here is February's photo of the munchkin!

So I've thought that maybe I have an ear infection now for about a week...well, last night it was confirmed. I went to lay down to go to bed and had excruciating pain in my left ear and quickly realized there was no way I was going to get any sleep since laying down was absolute torture. I google hospitals in Fresno and hop in the car. I leave my house at 10:45pm, get to the hospital at 11:36pm and wait. At 2:20am I get seen by a dr, he confirms I have a "bulging ear infection with puss" and prescribes me some antibiotics. Then, I wait some more. At 2:45am I have my prescription in hand and and pain killers in my body and head home. I get home at 3:36am and finally go to sleep. I feel like I'm 5 years old...going to the hospital in the middle of the night for an ear infection -adults get ear infections?!! It was truly a miserable experience. How is it that when I have a hospital 3 miles away I don't need it but when I move to the isolated mountains for 4 months I need to in the middle of the night and have to drive 45 minutes?! Lame. Thank you Brennan for sharing your ear infection with mommy, I'm glad we can suffer together.

Post Valentines Day Mini Session

Shannon offered mini photo sessions for v-day so of course I had to take her up on it! We weren't in town before v-day so she did it this past weekend when we were in LA. Brennan was not in the best mood needless to say so....thank you Shannon for enduring this torture and always managing to capture my sweet pea~ you are amazing!

(Brennan has the most darling hat that goes with this outfit, every time I put it on her she ripped it off and started crying....GRRR)

I'm not really sure what I'm doing here....scrunching my face for some reason?

A Weekend In Review

This past weekend in Pasadena was 2 things: super fun, and a whirlwind! Here is the nutshell version:

-2 dr appointments for Brennan
-1 dental appointment for me
-1 hair appointment for me
-2 lunches with a friends
-2 dinners with friends
-multiple movies with friends
-church
-2 photo shoots with Shannon
-Oscar party
-2 visits to the hospital (to see a friend/baby)
-visit with a friend

On Friday afternoon my dear friend Emily and I went here for lunch:

It was lovely -a total feast for the eyes and we had a great time. Ems said she has been wanting to go but waited for me to come into town....she's the best!!

My dear friend Kristen has had a tough pregnancy, poor thing has been in the hospital for weeks now on bed rest. I've spoken to her about once a week for the updates and she assured me I would know when little Aizak was here. So, while in town I call her and say "Hey Kristen, you still in the hospital?" (thinking maybe they had sent her home to be on bed rest) she says "yes" I say "are you up for a visitor?" she says "yes!" So, I get to the hospital, walk in and see her parents (who live in Missouri) holding a baby! I look at her and say "Is that yours?!" (being totally serious) to which she replies (with very big eyes) "OH MY GOSH!!" Yup! You guessed it! She had the baby SIX DAYS EARLIER and I didn't know!! Its okay -I'm cutting her some slack, poor thing is still in the hospital recovering from her complications and she has admittedly been a little out of it. So -needless to say my shower planning is in full swing!

Here is precious little Aizak Wesley, 4 wks early weighing in at 6lbs 5oz and totally healthy! He is SUCH a doll baby! (I came back to the hospital later and took some more pics of him w/ my other camera...when I have some time I'll go thru them and post my favs, he's so dreamy)

Brennan has been sick for what seems like forever so even though her 15 month check up was on Monday I took her to the dr on Friday to have her checked out. They agreed with my diagnosis of croup and told me "there's really not much we can do for that, however, she does have an ear infection so here are some antibiotics." WHEW! I'm so glad I didn't wait until Monday to get my sweet pea in!! So, here is B and daddy outside the drs office.

We have a long standing tradition at eating at Saladang with the Mountains ~so, of course we had to hit up our favorite Thai place with some of our favorite people! Here is Katie, Bo and Julianna...so fun.

I was SO glad that I had some down time to spend with my dear pal Sarah. Her son Micaiah is one of B's good friends and it was so fun to see them together again at long last!

There is a group of guys that get together on occasion to play poker, so, while Adam was doing that some of the ladies got together for a night out! We had a great Chinese dinner and then off to the movies! Loved it, so fun to be with such great friends for a fun evening. Miss your girlies!!

So I dropped the ball and didn't get a pic of Rama, Dave, Raja, Lauren and Carlos for our Oscar party...dang it! We had a fun time and loved being with my homies. Thanks for hosting Rydmans!

Kel was supposed to join us for the Oscar festivities but alas...her flight didn't really work out so, before we left town today we grabbed a quick lunch at my favorite "Teri & Yaki"~ glad I got to see you Kel, even if only for a little bit!!

All in all it was a great weekend! A special thanks to Al and Des for letting us stay with them, it was such a treat!! You guys are the best! I'm SO sorry to my friends who I didn't get a chance to see, there just wasn't enough time to do it all but...next time!! We'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right folks! Adam, Brennan and I are headed back to Pasadena this weekend!! WHO HOO!!! I look forward to seeing all of you! (well, my readers that are my friends that live in so cal anyway) :) Can't wait!!!!!!!

Boys Will Be Boys

Today was fun. There are 6 guy students up here at high sierra this semester and each one of them are great. Today was the guys day to tackle the ropes course and each one of them did an awesome job! I was out there all afternoon snapping away ~ here are some of my favorite pics of these men rockin' the ropes course!

At the end of the day Adam and I asked the guys if they wanted to go out to dinner w/ us to get some BBQ~ they all piled into our cars and came with us (except Bobby who had to work) ~ so fun.
