End of June Photo
I would be hard pressed to say that this is my favorite photo of the month, but it is one of them so...here it is!

1 House, 7 Days, 18 People
That's right folks, its that time again! Every year the Winn family heads to Black Butte for our family vacation! This year we have more kids than ever and we will be enjoying the land of rice krispie treats and pjs. For those of you unfamiliar with the way we vacation we pretty much eat either plain rice krispie treats, peanut butter rice krispie treats, or chocolate and peanut butter rice krispie treats 3 meals a day for 7 days (and if you think I'm kidding...I'm not). AND -if you think that would get old...it doesn't. I look forward to this week every year and Adam calls it "his favorite place on earth." Needless to say the ol' blog won't be updated for a while but stay tuned for some fun pics when we get back!

The Party in My Mind
No, I'm not going insane and trying to quiet voices in my head, rather I'm sitting here thinking of the party that I would throw if I were back in my cottage in California. Since I'm clearly not in California and will likely never step foot in (my) sweet house again, the party is only in my mind. Sigh...but it still excites me so I'll tell you about it.
If I were back in Pasadena what I would be doing is planning a smallish "Welcome to Summer" ladies only, early in the evening, all yellow-themed party. I would be talking to Emily about custom invitations which would ask that each guest wear something (whether it be a necklace, flower in their hair, article of clothing, etc.) that is yellow. The menu would be simple and light and contain all things yellow, ie lemon drops, lemonade, lemon drop martinis, lemon cupcakes, etc. you get the idea. I of course would have yellow flowers spread around the house to add a little decor and would send each guest home with lemon cookies or an individual clear baggie of lemon drops with a yellow ribbon on them, and maybe a little tag thanking them for coming. Sigh...these are just a few of the thoughts rolling around in my head. Any one who knows me at all knows I love planning/throwing/hosting parties and will pretty much look for any excuse to do so. I think welcoming summer is party throwing worthy and something I SO wish I could be doing right now. All you sweet ladies out there would be invited, wouldn't that be fun? For now, the party is only in my mind but maybe one day, in the not too distant future I can throw my little yellow, welcome to summer party. If any one out there reading this decides to steal my idea, that's okay I guess....but let me see the pics at least since I have none to show! :)

Oregon Zoo
I can't remember the last time I went to the zoo and was so excited to go with Adam and Kemi as we took B for the very first time. However, shortly after we arrived and walked around a bit I realized the zoo wasn't so exciting because almost ALL of the animals were asleep (or just stood there and barely moved)!! What's up with that?! Has it always been that way and I'd just forgotten? Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed with the ol' Oregon zoo and felt a little ripped off that I didn't get to see much action. I think B enjoyed herself for the most part so that's good I guess. Sigh.

Flowery Boots
The other day right after Brennan got out of the bath, before I even had a chance to dress her she ran and put on her boots and started walking around the house. She was too cute so of course I had to grab my camera and snap away.
