Brennan got "white blanket" as a gift before she was born. Since she's been able to sleep with a blanket she has chosen white blanket as
the blanket. B can't sleep without white blanket and it gets
lots of love from her. Well, when we were on the train in England Brennan was throwing a fit and threw white blanket behind her and it went in between the seats. Adam and I explained to her that she wasn't allowed to act like that, etc. and that we would get white blanket when the train stopped. Well, when the train stopped we were in a hurry to get our bags, etc and walked off leaving white blanket behind. We didn't realize this had happened until we got back to our hotel and B asked for it as we were putting her down to bed. Needless to say, we felt awful and like the worst parents in the world and had to listen as B cried herself to sleep muttering things about trains and white blanket ~ it was
so sad! Anyway, since then she has asked for white blanket several times and we always have to explain how we left it on the train, etc. Well, grandma to the rescue! My mom was able to track down the
exact blanket somewhere in Arizona and have it shipped to us! B got white blanket back today! We tried to explain that someone found white blanket on the train, cleaned it up, etc and sent it back to her! The person who actually shipped the blanket wrote the sweetest note explaining how it was found on the train, they cleaned it, etc. So, once again, all is well with the world and there is a
very happy 2 year old sleeping soundly with her beloved white blanket. Thanks mom er...I mean, thanks Joe the train conductor!

We've had the same thing happen with my daughter's "n'nigh" except we weren't able to find an exact replica.
This has happened twice (she's on her 3rd...) and she knows this is her LAST!!!! (she's going to be 6 in 2 weeks!)

Hi Molly:
...I just love this one!
"Joe" is super.
In Him,
Granddad
That Joe Trainman's got some effeminate handwriting. Are you sure it wasn't Jo Trainman?
I love this... especially the "play-by-play" pictures that say it all. So sweet!
My son has a blue blanky he takes everywhere and cannot sleep without, so I totally understand what poor Brennan had to go through. High five for grandma!
i just love that last picture of B "nuggling" the blanket. sooo sweet!

Oh my gosh, that is HYSTERICAL. The things we do to trick our children. All the efforts we go through to make them happy. Unbelievable. The photos are so cute to go along with the story.
