just a little Brennan story

Today while Brennan was watching cartoons I was in my bedroom blow drying my hair. I was wearing a top and my underwear (sorry for the visual), but they were cute underwear, the "short" bottoms kind with little ice cream cones on them (thanks mom!). Anyway, I was blow drying my hair, minding my own business, and Brennan comes in and says "ice cream cones!" and then proceeds to lick my underwear. Um yeah...the end. (and there will be NO picture accompanying this post!)

B and I have decided its time.

a day in the life

A friend of mine does this on her blog every week or so and I always enjoy reading it. Thought I'd give it a whirl today.


outside in Limerick... it is sunny but chilly.

in my head... I'm wanting to know what's next for me/my family. Thinking a lot "what if..." , longing to have some answers.

i am hoping... that Adam gets a job and that we are either Texas or California bound (or California or Texas bound...pay no attention to the order here)

one goal for the week... to get caught up on the laundry (which is pretty much my goal every week).

this week my daughter.... will miss her daddy a lot, and will go to the dr for the millionth time b/c she can't get over this sickness!

something God is trying to teach me... ha, where to start?! That I need to do the right thing even when I don't feel like it. Tying in w/ that, He is teaching me that he is more concerned with my character than my happiness.

plans for the rest of the week.... to get out at least once each day and do something fun with B (and to remain sane while Adam is gone :)).

getting ready for a party

The other day right before we were walking out the door for Gloria's first birthday party Brennan decided she didn't feel like getting her clothes on (this is a common occurrence around here). Even though we were in a big hurry and Adam wasn't in the mood for Brennan's silliness, I had to snap a few.









I love this picture, its one of my all time favorites of her








Oh, and we made it to the party on time. :)

Brennan's Bounty

My girl loves flowers. She loves picking them, smelling them, looking at them, etc.. Right now Ireland is covered with daffodils, so much so that she didn't even pick these, they were laying on the ground (I told her she couldn't pick the ones standing up :)). There were even more that we came home with then what's pictured here. I think next time I'll bring my camera w/ me as she's gathering, she looks pretty darn cute doing it!

Dingle

My friend Jen G. has been telling me since before I moved to Ireland how beautiful Dingle is, she was right! I was so glad to finally see it with my own eyes, definitely one of my favorite places in Ireland so far. We stopped for lunch and this little pub off the beaten path, probably one of the top 5 best meals I've had since I moved here, amazing.







Since Kelly landed in Ireland she kept saying "I really just want to wander in some green pastures with sheep before I leave, is that too much to ask?!" Well, no, no it wasn't! As we were driving down some obscure road this little lamb comes running out in front of our car, this little girl was trying to lead it back into the gated pasture. Kelly asks the girl "would it be okay if we came in there to take some pictures?" The little girl said "sure, just close the gate behind you" and then she left. So, there we were, in probably the most beautiful green pasture I've seen so far, right on the water, sheep everywhere. Kelly got her wish and we all got to have an amazingly beautiful afternoon.























B thought it was pretty amazing too.






























This was just on the side of the road on a little alcove, very unique/cool placement.


Okay, the roads in Dingle are NARROW and windy, it made for some (hehem) unique experiences.

Adam and Kelly got out of the car (I'm sure Kel's pics will be way better than mine!), L, B and I stayed in the warm car instead...we're lame. :)

Um yeah, I don't think I bothered to roll the window down for this one but you can still tell how gorgeous it is! (I do plan on going back at least 1 more time before we leave...hopefully it will be warmer then!)

We had a yummy dinner at the Dingle Bay Hotel restaurant before heading home after a long day of exploring, great day in Ireland with great friends.
