How cool are these Madsen Bikes?! I totally want one, I think B would look too cute sitting back there w/ me panting...er I mean pedaling away! Too bad they are $1300. Sigh. A girl can dream right?

My father-in-law makes cool stuff. It doesn't matter if he's designing, creating, building, drawing, etc. the guy has mad skills and can literally do it all. He has recently started doing these "folios" where he takes images and creates these packages that contain prints inside of whatever the "theme" is. He told me he wanted to do a black and white folio of B all throughout our time in Europe, here is the cover, can't wait to see the rest! Pretty cool huh?

It's Blackberry Season!!

Hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend~ we did! It was pretty chill around here which was so nice and much needed. B and I spent some time outside playing in the grass and picking the occasional blackberry -YUM. They are still a tad sour but B didn't seem to mind a bit! "More please!"

nothing exciting

I realized today was Friday and I had nothing to post, sigh. Sometimes I feel this pressure to post, that really, I put on myself that is so silly! I don't have any pictures to share b/c I haven't picked up my camera lately, which I'm also realizing is okay. Its been a weird several weeks for me, without going into much detail out of respect for other's privacy as well as my own I'll leave it at that, but let me just say I'm a bit emotionally tired, not exhausted, just tired. I read a friend's post today (her blog is private otherwise I'd link to it) that reminded me to just be present and not busy myself all the time with things that really aren't that important. This particular post linked to a few other posts that had given my friend some food for thought, I looked at these posts as well and one of the women said "God plus nothing is enough" -that's what is resonating with me today and what I'm gonna go try and really grasp (I imagine this will take me a while...probably forever but just so you know what I'm up to today!). Happy weekend everyone, hope you also can relax and just "be" like I'm attempting today.

Potty Training 101

We just started potty training B, the method we're going for is the whole "potty training in a day " thing. So, the day started off w/ Brennan opening her own baby that goes potty. She learned how to change her diapers and how to set her on the the potty then...B had her lesson! All in all it was a pretty successful day! We've had a few "oopses" here and there but overall, I'm pretty darn proud of my little girl!

It had me at "Lovely Victorian"

If you've been following this blog for any length of time then you already know I'm a lover/sucker, etc. for old homes. To be honest, I was hoping that this would be the year that Adam and I would actually (finally) be able to buy one, but alas, we're continuing this journey of job hunting and figuring out where we're meant to be, etc. So, for the time being we're still renters and that's okay. I started casually looking for a place just a bit ago, thinking we needed to get settled and resume "normal" life again. Well, this 1860's beauty was essentially the first thing that caught my eye! I really didn't think it would work out but after praying about it/thinking about it/talking about it, etc. Adam and I both felt good about it and were the ones chosen to live in this beautiful home! What a blessing! We're moving in next month and can't wait to call this place our home for the next year (at least)! So, we're officially going to be OC residents....no, not Orange County (MISS YOU CALI!) but Oregon City, Oregon! Here's to the next year of adventures for the Winns...in Oregon!
