Our Family Room

I feel a little weird posting pics of my house on my blog...is this weird? (although...I never think its weird when other people do it, I actually really like it!) Several of you have expressed interest so, here you go! Anyway, we still have several things were working on but our family room is mostly in order. Please excuse/ignore the tv/dvd player/cords, etc. in the corner, my father-in-law is going to build a shelf in the armoire to put a tv on, etc. so all that mess will go away soon!

B in OC

We've been in Oregon City for a week but haven't done any exploring yet, too busy unpacking and getting things in order. The other day Kelly and I decided to grab B and take her down the street for an impromptu photo shoot, our first time really walking around Oregon City ~so far so good! I really like it here, it seems really quaint and cute. I'm excited to explore more in the coming weeks, but for now, here's what our first exploring trip produced!

Black Butte '09

I love traditions and the tradition of going to Black Butte every summer w/ Adam's family is one of my very favorites. This summer the weather wasn't as warm as we would've liked it, not many swim days unfortunately but we still had a great time. For whatever reason I hardly took any pics all week so here is a small peek at our time, already looking forward to next summer!

its been crazy!

Sorry for the lack of posting this week, its been a zoo! We're still unpacking boxes, etc. but are mostly settled. Kels is in town so we have our first house guest staying amidst the chaos! To say I have lots to post is an understatement so keep checking in! I have hardly looked at the (very limited) pics I took from our vacation but here is a favorite of mine of my super cute niece and nephew, more to come!

Moving

Moving is hard work, I'm exhausted. On Monday Adam and I drove to California, we stopped in Lodi (aka:no mans land) to sleep, then on Tuesday rolled into Pasadena in the late afternoon (to all my Pasadena homies, don't be sad/mad that I didn't see you/tell you I was coming, we were only there for 2 seconds and it was crazy! Please don't be mad at me!!). Wednesday we got up early, had 4 AMAZING friends help up move our stuff from our storage unit into our big ol' rental truck and then we got right back on the road to drive up to Oregon. I stopped at some relatives house in Redding at 11pm to sleep, Adam in his slow truck couldn't make it that far and stopped in some random city and we met up the next day back in Portland (only I made it about 3 hours earlier). It was a whirlwind to say the least! Friday we started the official move into our new house! Needless to say, this week has been one of unpacking boxes, getting rid of stuff we don't want/need/use. etc and trying to get settled. Adam and I have been hard at work all day everyday but are almost done! Looking forward to sharing pictures of our new digs and having company over! Later in the week I'll be posting some items that we're getting rid of, I won't be pricing most (if any) thing so if you want something just email me and tell me how much you're willing to pay for it and we can guesitmate shipping and I'll send it off to you! Okay, off to unpack more boxes, lots more to come!

Autumn & Tim and Baby S on the Way!

This was hands down one of my very favoritist (yes, I know thats not a real word) sessions yet! First off, Autumn and Tim just plain rock, but secondly, we're related so...that makes them even more special and cool! You can't be around Tim and not laugh, its really not humanly possible - and add Autumn to the mix and its an all out GREAT time. These two let me get creative and do what I wanted (so of course I loved that) and we had a blast! Thanks guys, CANNOT wait to meet (and photograph) your sweet boy that's on the way! Love you sweet cousins o' mine! (and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER STEPHANIE!!, LOVE YOU RODENT!)
