Once vacation is over, the final house packing will commence (as well as the self-loathing from the 24/7 rice krispie eating), and reality will set in. The goodbyes, the eating whatever is in the fridge so as to not waste, the loading of the moving truck, etc. My mind feels like its going a million miles an hour right now, so much to think about and so much newness on the horizon. I'm excited, anxious, antsy, etc... so so much to think about. I'm excited for this one to come a week from today, haven't seen her in what feels like forever and am looking forward to 4 days in the car, just her and me. Good things coming. Life is full of good things, there are lots of hard things too but today I'm focusing on the good things. This photo of my niece's birthday cake might seem random, but it was.so.good. Its a symbol of good things, life's little pleasures, which is where my heart is focusing today. xo

So glad you had a wonderful vacation and got your "fill" of family and treats!
This week will be a little busy, but all will work out and soon you will be "nesting" in your new home! Can't wait to see it!

Can't wait to see you! So looking forward to the road trip too! I'm hoping we can make it there without anyone getting stuck in any seat belts but with just as much hilarity!
i'm going to miss you in the northwest ... sniff sniff.
Road trip! No doubt there will be much hilarity, and I think we all learned our lesson regarding sleeping in seatbelts so I am confident you will both arrive safe and sound (and mobile). :-)
(I want to swipe my finger across the frosting with the sprinkles.)
