flooding
Adam and I were in Tennessee all weekend for the Oregon Ducks game (go Ducks!), pictures of that fun time coming soon. All that to say, when we got home, we realized our basement was flooded. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. I'll spare you the details of how my house smells right now, but needless to say, LOVING the joys of home ownership.....................NOT.

So, I know what you are dealing with...We moved into our place in May. I was 8mo prego and it was our 3rd night in the house. Jon was working night shift. I wake up around 5:00 to pee (of course) and walk through some water on our main floor in the kitchen. I think it is dog pee and I get angry. I let the dogs out and then stop short and realized the water had a trail. Then I heard the "waterfall" as I like to call it. It ran through our hardwood floors, onto the basement stairs, through the stairs to our storage space under the stairs. In that area we had about 2 inches of water. ANYWAY. Hang in there...I cried cuz I hated the fact that I couldn't just call a landlord to fix it...it was all on us. We survived, no mold, and the house still stands!
XOXOXO
Ewww... sorry Molly, that really sucks :(

Oh Mol - that sucks! Did you have a lot of stuff down there? Is it carpeted? Yikes. Welcome to home ownership indeed. :( Hope you had fun in Tennessee nonetheless.
Oh NO! Do you need any help with anything?! Oh, that's horrible. :(
Takes me back to our plumbing issue in our downstairs bathroom just after we moved into our new house (caused by rags in the pipes) which caused wall damage and required new carpet in the office. Big hassle, and GROSS. Hope your situation gets resolved quickly. Sorry.
That is terrible! I hope it gets cleaned up and resolved without too much trouble. What a drag!!!
