my day in Canton with Jenny

Whew! This ended up being a busy weekend! Friday night I did a photo shoot (pics coming soon), and on Saturday I went to Canton with my friend Jenny to their outdoor flea market. It was a 2.5 hour drive and it was so nice to chat away w/ my friend w/out being interrupted by children (ah, the simple things!). We shopped for a few hours, ate corn dogs and funnel cake and came home with a couple treasures. Sadly I didn't find the stools I was hoping to score but I did manage to come home with this:

As Jenny said "its just Texas enough" ~ not over the top Texas pride, but kinda cool, no?

brisket tacos...only in Texas (well, I assume anyway!)

Jenny bought an uber cool cowhide rug! (which is not pictured, she is holding it in this bag)

Saturday night we ended up having our friends over for an impromptu dinner, then Sunday after church I picked up the house, went to the grocery store, made pumpkin cupcakes, and had some new friends over for dinner (who we met at church and live a block away!). All in all, a great weekend with lots of fun. I have lots to post this week so keep coming back to me. :)

I do like your new "TEXAS" piece. To me it say's I'm proud to be a Texan. That "fair" food has my mouth watering! So happy you had a fun day and weekend.

Sounds like a fun weekend - and yummy food! I'm wondering where I will see "Texas" hanging when I come down to visit...

Hmmmm...Funnel cake & brisket tacos...

I agree that the Texas sign is just enough "Molly Texas" without being cheesy. Looks fun!
