Photo Session Giveaway!

Who wants a free photo shoot?! I'm hosting a little giveaway here on the ol' blog so here's how it works:

I'm offering a free 45 minute session which includes a disc with 15 edited, high resolution images with a copyright release. The session can include up to 5 people and has to take place in the Portland, Oregon area. It can be an engagement shoot, family shoot, maternity, kiddos, etc.. The session needs to take place before April 15th and I get to choose the location. Sound good? If you're interested you need to leave me a comment on this post (and if you leave an anonymous comment you must include your full name and email address). Anyone can apply, doesn't matter if you're my best friend or a total stranger, if you want it, leave me a comment! dueling princess dresses

For Christmas I gave B a blue Cinderella dress, I didn't know that my mom also got her a blue princess dress. Well, as luck would have it B opened my dress first and once she saw it that was all she wrote. She didn't want to wear the dress my mom got her (which was a lot more than $19.99 from target -sorry mom!) and refused to even try it on! Doh! Well, the other night B came downstairs with my mom's princess dress on and had a very smug look on her face. We had been trying to get her to try it on for months and she wasn't havin' it, until...the other night. She came down and said "look at me, take my picture!" Of course I happily obliged. :) (just my anal disclaimer: these images are pretty much sooc and have lots of noise b/c my ISO was really high since it was totally dark).








...and she lived happily ever after.

7 interesting things:

1. I don't eat oranges....ever (but I drink orange juice, no pulp please)

2. I would rather suffer than take medicine if it tastes gross (even if it would cure me)

3. I have a large "2" hanging in my living room and people often ask me why~ 2 is my favorite number and my daughter was born on the 2nd.

4. As much as I love photography I often think I should never pick up my camera again (this is pretty much a daily struggle)

5. I never thought I would have an only child, but sometimes I think B just might be it (stay tuned)

6. I get embarrassed when I am put in a position to explain (to a virtual stranger) that I have only lived in OR since June and before that I lived in Ireland for a year, then before that I lived in Bass Lake for 4 months, then before that I lived in Pasadena, etc... I feel like it makes me seem flakey and really random when in actuality that's not me at all. Life has just been a little crazy for us the past couple years! We're actually pretty darn stable (and boring most of the time!).

7. I miss California every day.

valentines week/day re-cap

It was so fun seeing B come home from pre-school with her valentine box, remember when you used to make those?! Or the envelopes that you used to hang off your school desk? So cute! She saw the Spiderman valentine sticking out and said (in a very upset voice) "who gave me the scary valentine?!" Cutie. Anyway, had to snap a few when she got home from school to share.











For the weekend we had one of my besties and her husband with us, so fun. Izzy and I met our freshman year at APU and were roommates our jr and sr year, it was fun re-living some of our crazy college days...hehe. Anyway, while they were here we hit up downtown Portland and had a yummy lunch, played some PS3, had valentine brunch, went to Voo Doo Donuts, and just had a great time being together.











this place was PACKED OUT, I have no idea how long we were in line but it was worth it!
