It's back to being cold here again. I'm so not used to bi-polar weather! Growing up in Washington it pretty much rains all the time, and then in California its pretty much sunny all the time. Here, freezing one day, beautiful the next -so bizarre! Well today its icy, not snowey but they cancelled class at UMHB so Adam gets to stay home from work! Hooray! Not much to report here...we had mi casa last night and that was fun. For dinner we decided to do a "make your own sandwich" bar so that was tasty and easy, no new recipe to share. Everyone really wants to hear how Adam and I met so next week we're telling our love story, that'll be fun..its a good one. :) Oh, my friend Daniel is in town! The thing about Texas is that people come here for random stuff all the time, its just that Texas is so big and no one (myself included) seems to be to "up" on Texas geography so there is no concept of how close/far we are to certain cities. All that to say, I got a text that Daniel was in Ft. Worth and wanted to try and see us. Ft. Worth is about 2 hours away so totally doable! The only bummer is, he is trying to borrow a car to get here and now that the roads are icy, this could be problematic. I'll be soooo bummed if we don't get to see him, he is one of my best friends from college and he's so close!! I really need to buy a big ol' map of Texas and start to stare at it so I actually have some concept of where things are (I was thinking Ft. Worth was 45 min away, clearly I have no idea). So, that's what is going on in these here parts today. Another quiet day at home, iced in (thankfully we have electricity!). Adam and I did end up in the guest room in the middle of the night last night, the wind was SO loud in our room! I guess I need to add "new windows" to my "to-do" list. Ay yi yi home ownership is spendy! Okay ya'll, have a great day, stay warm! xo
Here is a pic of the mat on our doorstep, brrr, icy! (I took it upside down from inside the house, no way I was stepping out into the cold!)

and here is B, (this photo was taken 5 minutes ago), she is laying on the ground on top of the heater eating a pb&j sandwich for breakfast.

guess you get a few reminders that it really is winter -- that way you will have some compassion on the rest of us folks. Hope you left some heat on last night and that you your home is cozy. Enjoy Adam's day off and hope you get to see Daniel. that would be a special treat!

Like to hear the "how you met story" again after all of these years. A nice thing about the weather changes there is you don't have to wait too long before you see blue skies.

Love that Brennan's lying on top of the heater and really love that she's eating a PB&J for dinner! Ha!
Boo to cold weather :(
Can totally relate to the whole map thing, after living here 1 1/2 years, I've finally printed a map of China :)
